When we last left off the teachers and Miss. Bennett searched the school high and low for sightings of the elf. The couldn’t see him anywhere. They couldn’t hear him either. He had disappeared without a trace.
When the boys and girls arrived in the school that morning, Miss. Bennett visited each class. She asked the children if they had spotted the elf. She was disappointed to hear that they had not. Being the helpful sort of children that they are they offered to help Miss. Bennett find the elf. After all an elf on the loose could cause havoc in a school…an elf could get up to all sorts of mischief once the children and teachers had gone home.
The children were on high alert searching for clues. The looked for them everywhere: in the corridors, in the classrooms and under the tables…Later that day a group of clue-seeking junior infants found something. Evidence at last – a piece of magic fabric dropped by the elf.
But where was the elf?
