We are into the second day of Friendship Fortnight. Today we looked at lots of different items from countries around the world. It was interesting and fun.
Last Friday we had a chance to welcome grandparents to our school. Some grandparents couldn’t make it so the children interviewed them by phone and Skype. We learned so much from this. For example, a granny in New Zealand liked the same book as a granny in Limerick (The Famous Five which the children in first class like to read!) and a granny in England liked to play hopscotch just like a granny in Romania.
Tomorrow is Buddy Lunch day. We will get a chance to make new friends from another class.
