The junior infants have been talking about the people who help us in our community. We were very happy to have special visitors to describe their jobs and how they help us in our lives every day.

Two scientists  (a mum of a  girl in JI and a dad of a boy in JI) visited and did some experiments for the children. Their visits were both exciting and inspiring for the children.

Our local postman also visited. He described how are letters are delivered around the country and to the North Pole. The children had many questions for him and were very excited by the idea of going to the post office to buy a stamp to post their letter to Santa.

Can you think of any other people who help us in our community? What jobs do they do? What would happen if they didn’t do their job? What job would you like to do?
