Junior Infants were busy bees today in the yard today. We planted herbs and strawberry plants.
Before putting the strawberry plants in pots, we took time to look at the roots, the stem, the leaves and a flower with little white petals.
We used compost to fill each pot. We were very gentle when placing the seeds and plants into the pots. The compost is very dry.
Back in the classroom, we put the pots on a table by the window. It is like a green house.
We watered each plant. We have a watering chart and we will take turns to water the plants. We hope there will be sunshine too to help our plants grow.
All the photographs you see here are taken by a very talented Junior Infant boy. Well done!
