Today we celebrated St. Patrick’s day with a special school assembly. There is such a richness of talent in St. Louis Infant school as you will see in the photos.
All the classes wore handmade crowns. Junior Infants sang In Dublin’s Fair City and Óró sé do bheatha bhaile. Senior Infants sang Trup Trup a Chapaillín and Ireland’s Call with great gusto. First Class soloists were very well accompanied by their classmates to sing Trasna na dTonnta and Song for Ireland.
In addition to the singing, St. Patrick made an appearance as did the dancers from Ms. Sheils’ School of Dance. The recorder and tin whistle groups also performed several pieces including Mo Ghile Méar.
It was a wonderful celebration of St. Patrick.
